A NEW CHAPTER FOR THE MAISON
The Pignatelli Atelier collection was born as an upcycling project and extreme research.
Each garment is a unique piece, created in the Maison's workshop using original sartorial bases from the Pignatelli archive: jackets, suits, and men's coats that are deconstructed and reassembled.
The fabrics are transformed into new silhouettes: sculptural volumes alongside fluid lines, a powerful and sophisticated femininity, never obvious.
The debut in Zurich marks the beginning of a new language: a dialogue between Pignatelli's theatrical tradition and Jean Luc Amsler's international vision, in the service of women's couture that is unlike any other.

NOT A SERVICE, BUT A STATEMENT
Pignatelli Atelier is not a bespoke service and does not originate from a client request.
It is the most radical declaration of what a dress can be according to the Maison: free from constraints of use, size, budget, or mass production. Each project starts from an obsession – a face of the Countess of Castiglione, an archival photo, a film, a theatre scene, a rediscovered fabric – and is pushed to the extreme.
Some dresses remain forever linked to the runway or a campaign. Others, in very limited editions, arrive in the single-brand boutiques in Turin and Milan for those ready to take on the challenge.

At Atelier, we push ideas to the limit: volumes, cuts, surfaces, and palettes are born here, without compromise.
Over time, part of this research descends from the runways to become wearable in the Cerimonia, Evento, and Sartoriale lines.

The Formula 1 of the Maison
While Ceremony, Event, and Sartorial collections dress weddings, galas, and royal events, the Atelier operates on a different level: that of pure research.
Here, we don't ask ourselves if a dress will be replicable or easy to produce. We only ask ourselves how far we can push ourselves with shapes, proportions, internal structures, embroidery, and handwork.
It's the Maison's Formula 1: the place where we test extreme solutions, knowing that a part of this experimentation will one day return to the collections you wear in everyday life.

Every garment originates from original Pignatelli sartorial foundations: suits, coats, and men's jackets preserved in the Maison's archive.
They are deconstructed, cut, reassembled, and combined with new fabrics to create women's couture that wastes nothing and looks to the past not with nostalgia, but as raw material for the future.
SILHOUETTE & VOLUMES
In the Atelier, we experiment with forms you'll never see exactly replicated in boutiques:
sculptural volumes, radical asymmetries, trains that dominate the scene like stage designs, structures that change shape as you move.
The goal is not discretion, but presence: the dress enters the space before you do.
COLOR & IMAGERY
The palette looks to the Countess of Castiglione, the “Pearl of Italy”: aristocratic, enigmatic, rebellious.
Unexpected colours, sharp contrasts, shades built layer by layer.
Each project stems from a precise imaginary – an era, a place, an emotion – and pushes it to the limit, never choosing the easiest path.
The Room of Possibilities
Atelier doesn't start with a size, but with an idea. A color that obsesses you,
a place, a scene, an archival reference, a painting, a photograph.
From there, sketches begin, fabric trials, unexpected combinations of shapes
and volumes. It's the space where we can dare to be bold: skirts that take center stage,
embroidery that tells a story, constructions that function as small wearable scenes.

The woman workshop
It is inspired by the Countess of Castiglione: aristocratic and rebellious, capable of transforming herself into a thousand characters in front of the lens.
Like her, she uses clothing to change roles: now a gothic icon, now a romantic heroine, now a red carpet protagonist.
This is why each Pignatelli Atelier garment is designed to exist only once: we can draw inspiration from the archive, but the proportions, materials, and constructions always change. It's not a "customized" dress, it's an added character in your wardrobe.
THE ORIGINS OF LANGUAGE
the atelier man
The Atelier was born with man in mind: the most radical experimentation begins with the suits, tuxedos, and coats from the Pignatelli archive.
Here, the historical codes of the Maison – prominent lapels, structured shoulders, heraldic embroideries, red carpet cuts – are pushed beyond the usual: emphasized volumes, unprecedented proportions, surfaces crafted like armors of light.
On the runway, the Atelier man is not the "classic Pignatelli groom" but his theatrical double: a protagonist designed for openings, premieres, campaigns, and moments of pure staging.
