The Origins: Tailoring in Turin
THE 60S
In Turin in the 1960s, a tailor's shop was born that focused on cut, fit, and the relationship with the customer. Each garment was crafted individually, listening to stories, needs, and personalities. This is where the idea that would accompany the Maison to this day took shape: elegance is not just aesthetics; it is a matter of measure, proportion, and respect for the moment.
the language of the ceremony
80s and 90s
Between the 1980s and 1990s, the Maison brought a new perspective to ceremonial wear.
The groom ceased to be a “neutral” figure and became as central as the bride.
Gowns, suits, and accessories created a recognizable language that combined Italian tradition, experimentation with forms, and meticulous attention to detail.
Runways, print, imagination
2000s
Collections start being showcased on runways, in magazines, and through photo shoots.
Pignatelli gowns enter the collective imagination: from specialized magazines to fashion
features, from prominent weddings to editorials. Ceremony becomes a spectacle, not
just a protocol.
Galas, red carpets, and international events
2010
The same sartorial language is applied to galas, awards nights, corporate events, and red carpets.
Dresses and tuxedos are designed to be worn under the lights, in front of cameras, in settings where every detail is closely observed and immortalized for years.

Today, the Maison operates three monobrand boutiques – Turin, Milan, Florence – and works with a network of selected partners. The Ceremony, Sartorial, Event, Omnia, and Couture Atelier lines speak to different generations, bringing together what we have always been and what we are becoming: a benchmark for significant moments, in Italy and around the world.

Our idea of a dress
For Carlo Pignatelli, a garment is never just "beautiful" or "important."
It must support the role you play at that precise moment: groom, bride, witness, guest of honor, manager, artist, protagonist of a special evening. The Maison's lines stem precisely from this:

Respect for the moments
A wedding, a gala, an awards ceremony, a key career event – these things don't happen twice.
We treat each dress with the respect due to these moments, not as an anonymous “ceremonial garment.”
Continuity and research
We protect a precise and recognisable identity, but we never stop searching.
